So yesterday was nice and hectic involving a tour around the BEAUTIFUL city centre and the Bullring - 160 shops under one roof and three floors. It is bloody incredible. Had the most amazing time and plan going there again to today! Also went to the university to check out campus and get our freshers fest tickets! That was all fun fun fun and met loads of new amazing people! Came back to the flat, and then went over to another one where we met even more people before heading out to a club called Gatecrasher, its a two minute walk away! It was a lot of fun! I don't really know what else to put because I seem to have summed up a whole day quite quickly - OH! Another flatmate turned up and so now there's four of us, we're missing the final person but I love flat 020! Wooh!

Saturday 25th
So yeah, I'm Sammeh but I'm sure you already know that! To make this clear the blog is basically detailing my life as an undergraduate / fresher at the University of Birmingham where I'm studying Classical Literature and Civilisation Studies! So enjoy!
So today was the I moved to Birmingham! Wooh! Here I am snacking on dried fruit and trying to remember lots of todays events - after a really emotional farewell to my brothers and sister as they visited my grandparents, me, mum and my dad (and my baby sister Elizabeth) travelled to Birmingham with one GIANT suitcase and HUGE backpack and six boxes of stuff. The journey was fun taking lots of photos and enjoying the landscape until we hit Birmingham. Skyscrapers everywhere - so bizarre! It was like a British and less magnificent New York. But I was still totally breath taken by the size of the city. My dad typically got lost in even with a satnav but we saw some pretty awesome churches which I think I'll take lots of photos of (you see, photography is something I'm going to get into whilst I'm here - a tourist in my new home!). And we finally got here, had a quick tour of my accommodation and involved four trips to get all my stuff into my room. The view of my room is great - I see onto the canal front which is all pretty and lots of tree's BUT the ducks are noisy, the canal boats are just as bad and all the people who look in my direction can see me and my room. argh! After another emotional bye bye to the rents and my baby sister I'll confess to crying on the floor for a good ten minutes before introducing myself to the first flatmate I met Laura! We trekked to Natwest on Broad Street and I finally topped up credit on my phone! Laura got some stuff from Sainsburies then we headed back to the accommodation where we met Steven and after all the formalities we've been mingling in each others bedrooms watching them all come alive with their individual natures! I spent about two hours organising and reorganising my stuff, I'll end up changing it daily I think but I've never had a tidy room so this will be a start! So overall an incredibly stressful and yet fun and exciting day! Tomorrow I plan to meet up with my classics classmates which will be a blast =] Speak to you tomorrow blog! Peace Out from Brum!
